Very early on I was highly influenced by both William Blake and Jim Morrison. I knew rather quickly that I wanted to combine my poems with art and music.

The Central Problem
Pretending that the world does not have 20,000 starvation deaths among children a day is really the central problem- we don’t actually live in that world and never have. It’s the fantasy of fascism that doesn’t exist.

PROJECT END OF DAYS
I usually write a collection of poems
under one title. These poems can be edited
and revised and the sequence can always be added
to at a later time. This is important because it means the
poems are living and can evolve as ideas develop about them.

PROJECT END OF DAYS
Many times my older poems require some adjustments during the editing process. The poems often go through chrysalis stages. Project End of Days has been a way to organize, draft, revise and finally archive a collection of poetry that began in 1987 and is still ongoing.
